Thervetha

There's this one teacher at my school who is way adamant about the Spanish lisp. He is always correcting my pronunciation when I say stuff like "cerveza" instead of "thervetha." I don't even know when you're supposed to use the lisp! Yeah, at times it comes naturally, but usually I don't do it. I am here to subvert the Iberian peninsula, doesn't he know? Anyway, today in class the latest correction was for "themeterio" instead of "cemeterio." I got to correct him afterwards, too, though. "Behrial," not "buhrial," yo! (Burial.)

What's the matter?

Oh, I forgot to post these videos! This first one is me eating my first bratwurst in Berlin with Simone. It was so cold that the bratwurst began to cry.

And then a view of us walking to the U-Bahn station just after midnight in Berlin. It was a fucking war zone, I tell you.

And this last one is pretty short, but it's so you can see how fast our train from Berlin to Hamburg was traveling! Srsly.

Schmink desaster!

DSC07385.JPG

I went to Germany for a week. My flight landed in Berlin on the 30th of December, and Simone, Sarah and I stayed in an apartment for five nights. On the 4th of January we took a (high-speed!) train to Hamburg and stayed there for two more nights. On our last day we took a bus to Bremen because our RyanAir flight flew out of that airport.

New Year's Eve was awesome! We went to the Brandenburg Gate to see the fireworks at midnight. After that we headed over to a party being held at... get ready... the apartment where a French friend of Simone's American friend used to live. Then we just hung out in Berlin, seeing sites, going to awesome bars and finding great second-hand stores.

Hamburg was also fun. Sarah and I couchsurfed with a couple for two nights. They showed us around during the day, and we all had a good time. We went to some cool bars in Hamburg at night, too. The Germans know how to do it.

Now I'm back in Málaga and dreading going back to work. I am not dreading depositing my check, though, since I wasn't able to do that at the end of December =/.
