Time goes by.

My nephew Austin has just become a teenager. It's so weird--he's a seventh grader at K. White right now, yet the first time I met him, I was a student at K. White. I was talking to him on the phone (on his cell phone, mind you!), and he was telling me about running track and how he has an iPod. Insane! Time goes by too quickly. I told him, "when -I- was turning thirteen, you were a baby in diapers hanging out at my house," and in typical thirteen-year-old speak, he disinterestedly replied, "Oh, weird." Crazy kids! Anyway, happy belated birthday, Austin.

Congratulations on your trophy! Do you keep it on a mantle in your bedroom? I was a big U.I.L. nerd in junior high.
